OBLIVION

The House
Of Nisian

HOUSE OF NISIAN is more than a brand—it is an odyssey through the histories of sleep, a passage into worlds unseen, where fragrance, jewelry, and curated objects become keys to the unconscious.

Each box is designed as a sensory catalogue of its own that follows the five stages of the anesthetic experience. Here you will find a collection of rare objects, atmospheres, images, scents, and substances that guide one into what we call the House of Nisian.

Welcome to The House of Oblivion — a place that contains the many secret histories of anesthesia, where sleep is no escape but an architecture of surrender. We do not knock. The doors open inward.

03 — Structure

Five Stages of Oblivion

Each HOUSE OF NISIAN collection guides the recipient through an immersive experience, a falling-below inspired by the five stages of anesthesia.

STAGE I

Induction

The first drift into the unknown, a soft surrender and the erasure of pain.

STAGE II

Amnesia

A haze of forgotten time, beyond the boundaries of past and present.

STAGE III

Deep Sleep

The quiet abyss, where consciousness dissolves.

STAGE IV

Nothingness

An encounter with the nothingness in all things.

STAGE V

Delirium

A slow return to light, where fragments begin to reassemble.

04 — Source Material

Every ingredient, stone, and symbol in this house has to earn its place in the Books.

The Oblivion Books — five volumes, one per stage — were co-authored with philosopher Jason Mohaghegh. Nothing goes into a box that isn't already in a Book.

Thread 01

Science

The clinical reality of anesthesiology — what actually happens to the body and mind at each stage — kept the brand honest instead of ornamental.

Thread 02

Myth

The animals, stones, and symbols each stage has carried across cultures long before anesthesiology had a name for the same crossing.

Thread 03

Literature

Passages and voices that have described this same passage in words, gathered stage by stage as a second, older kind of evidence.

/// Every caption, description, and object story published by House of Nisian is drawn directly from the Oblivion Books — nothing is invented after the fact.

Sustainability (Our Artisans)

Production

Objects are produced in France and assembled into the launch collection in Massachusetts — a deliberate line between where the craft happens and where the house first meets its audience.

Collaboration

House of Nisian works with women-led businesses as a matter of consistency, not positioning. A house built on the record of care one person gives another shouldn't be assembled by a supply chain that ignores who's actually doing the work.

Let us take you on a passage through oblivion and return.
